33 weeks

finally, one week where i am only a day behind schedule for posting my belly picture!

I am also looking forward to my maternity photos this Saturday! found tops at the mall of america while shopping with my dad. and speaking of my dad - he also braved ikea with me for frames for Sydney's room! i cant wait to get going on my projects.

Baby showers start next week - we are so blessed to have so many people who want to celebrate with us!!

32 weeks + bunny hat + crib mattress

32 weeks

so im a touch late posting 32 weeks ... being in 2 days i will be at 33 weeks - but what can I say. i have had the photo taken, i just never got around to uploading it!! if you cant tell from this "amazing" photo, i am battling a head cold. its really quite wonderful. (can you sense my sarcasm?)

the crib mattress arrived bright and early tuesday morning! so of course i had to put it in the crib right away! now just waiting on the bedding to arrive! i cant wait to see how the fabrics will bring the room together!!

and for my little bunny. hopefully she arrives before Easter. i had this custom made on Etsy!

that is all for now ... got to focus on getting rid of this cold!!

crib mattress is on its way!

We have to give another huge thanks to my mom and dad - they ordered Sydney's crib mattress last night - it will arrive on Tuesday from Amazon (i LOVE amazon!). We went with the Colgate Classica III - it has great safety ratings, has one side that is specifically for infants and the other side is a touch softer for toddlers!

It will be so fun to see that in the crib, and the bedding should be arriving within the next 3 weeks!

31 weeks

an unexpected trip to the Dr

I would call it minor nerves. Ive been pretty calm the entire pregnancy, not reading into too much and letting things come as they do. But after not feeling Sydney bouncing around last night and today - I began to get a touch nervous. After calling my Dr.'s office, and laying down in the nurses office for 45 minutes at work doing kick counts - and not feeling much of anything they suggested I go get checked out.
Luckily - I have great co-workers that can help cover when things like this happen, and for that I am very grateful.
So I left school/work early and drove down to the Dr.'s office. After doing all the basic stats on me - they checked for her heartbeat - which was very strong, and then hooked me up to the NST machine. I sat hooked up to that for about 25 minutes just listening to Sydney's heartbeat and hearing her move around. It was pretty awesome and a huge relief of course (they also gave me juice - I love juice). I never thought the worst today - I figured she may be resting from the busy weekend that we had - but I knew I would also rather be safe and get checked out than stressing myself out wondering!! The nurses were fantastic today - as was my OB of course. I am so glad I chose that office for my care!!

Sydney's crib

I love it. Thank you mom and dad for purchasing this for us for her!

Ryan and his friend did an awesome job and the crib was up in no time at all!

Now for a mattress and bedding - hoping her bedding arrives by the end of this month!

forget the carpet...

I LOVE the new flooring! Ryan and our friend Ben did a great job installing it on Friday night! We still need to get the baseboards put back up - but I could not wait to post a little sneak peek!

I will also have photos of the crib soon too - as Ryan and another friend are busy putting that together right now!!

30 week belly + nursery updates

first things first, we are at 30 weeks people (well now almost 31, but oh well. at least the photo was taken on the 30 week mark!):

and i will be honest - there are some days where my tummy just hurts. not like a belly ache - but like someone is pulling at my skin in opposite directions. 

but, its all part of the journey! 

now onto the nursery! Ryan is working very hard to get things done - he knows how excited i am to see the crib built and in there (currently it is waiting for us in its box on the main level!) and to start decorating!

so where did we go from there?

my dad was very willing to come over and help us hang some decals i custom ordered on etsy. i knew i would not be much help to ryan, and my dad is very detail oriented so it was perfect!

we taped up the branches to determine lay-out

perfect! next and final step: leaves!

i can not say enough how much i already love Sydney's nursery. she has a much cooler room than we do and it is not finished yet. Ryan has started laying out the flooring, and has a friend coming over Friday evening to help a little more. if they do not finish I hope between Ryan and his dad on Sunday - the room will be ready for furniture!
